ABOUT ME
I am establishing a modern-day homestead on the edge of the Palouse near Spangle, WA. My goal is to build a mostly self-sustaining place using traditional skills and methods whenever possible. Whatever I can’t do myself, I am making connections to source locally and am excited to keep learning and growing.
I am also a Registered Dietitian and Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and have taught in the Nutrition and Exercise Physiology program at Washington State University for 10 years. I enjoy teaching students to apply classroom knowledge to real-life settings. As an extension of my job, I volunteer with Special Olympics as a Health Promotion Clinical Director and lead the local dietetics organization.
More importantly, I am a Christian. I love going to church to learn and fellowship with other believers, attending our ladies’ Bible study, and managing the children’s ministries.
